History : In 1989, the MSc Program in Environmental Management was launched under the Graduate School umbrell which enrolled 15 students annually and gradually increased to 25 in 1999. Evolved from this Program, the Faculty of Environmental Management was founded in 1992. The Faculty launched an Environmental Health Program in 1996 which enrolled 10 students annually; and an Environmental Education Program in 1999 which also enrolled 10 students annually.

Generating new knowledge through research involving graduate study, aiming at transferable technology and/or knowledge that can be applicable to sustain the environmental effectively.
Transferring knowledge and/or technology from research and graduate study to help, manage local environmental issues.
